The Wait List Process
Guidelines for Waitlist and Housing and Assignment
Existing Homes
Assignment Provisions
Housing will not be made available unless the service member has at least 12 months remaining during his tour, in compliance with the lease which is a 12-month commitment. Service members married to other service members whose spouses accompany them on their tour are authorized assignment to family housing. Unmarried service members with accompanying (Command Sponsored) family members are also authorized family housing contingent upon those family members residing with them on a full-time basis.
Eligibility
The eligibility date is entered into the Yardi system and the service member is placed on the applicable waiting list by rank, bedroom and location (north or south). The eligibility date is defined as the date the soldier departed their last duty station as long as the soldier applies for housing within seven days of arrival. Adjustments to the eligibility date will be made for unaccompanied or other special duty tours. When placed on the waiting list the service member will sign a form that commits him to notify AHFH of any changes in personal information such as phone numbers or off-post address. Service members must provide a copy of LES and Orders upon assignment to the waiting list.
